Axminster carpets are thick and textured, with pile yarns mostly made of pure wool or wool-nylon blends. Their exquisite design contributes to their unique quality. Axminster is the pinnacle of machine-woven carpet craftsmanship, capable of weaving 8-16 colors simultaneously, with infinitely complex patterns (gradients, realism, and landscapes are possible); ordinary tufted carpets typically only have 3-5 colors, and the patterns are mostly geometric blocks. Axminster uses a six-layer, tightly woven fabric, ensuring stable carpet shape and no deformation for 30 years; tufted carpets mostly have a glue-backed structure, making them less durable.
The commonly used material is an 80% wool + 20% nylon blend, balancing softness and durability. Different blend ratios can also be customized to meet specific needs. Thickness is customizable from 6-15mm, with common widths of 3.66 meters or 4 meters. The backing can be made of jute, PP, or SBR latex, and the flame retardant rating can reach B1.
Suitable for venues seeking luxury, durability, and high quality—five-star hotel lobbies and banquet halls, high-end clubs and restaurants, theaters, government reception halls, luxury villas and residences, cruise ships, etc. Especially suitable for flooring projects requiring customized complex patterns or corporate logos.
The minimum order quantity is usually 100 square meters (negotiable). From design confirmation and sampling to mass production, the standard cycle is approximately 45-60 days. The more complex the design and the more colors involved, the longer the sampling time will be. It is recommended to start projects 2-3 months in advance.
